OK- I admit it. You all said I would someday and I said, "No, I won't" and I avoided listening to them for ages. (Yes I really am that stubborn. At least you don't have to live with me!)
But then I saw Ben play solo and really liked his voice and his lyrics. I borrowed a CD from my husband on the sly and listened to it. Now I am in love with this record/band that I was trying so hard not to like.
So, dear friends who told me so, you may commence with the "I told you so's" now. I can take it!
But for the record, I still don't like Bjork and you can't make me!

I don't like Bjork either! When I was in junior high I bought a Sugarcubes tape and pretended to like it more than I did b/c I wanted to be all new wave/alternative. I still think she's cute though and her craziness captivates me.
The only time I really liked her was in that video where she grabs that reporter and slaps the shit outta her. She just snapped. I can respect that. :-)
But her voice? Fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
the only bjork song that i like is "it's so quiet." it's so crazy and fun.
and that's all the crazy and fun i can take from that little girl.
Is that the one from Tank Girl?
Bjork is wonderful; her album Vespertine is great for cold, wintry days. I really like Death Cab's Transatlanticism, but haven't been very into Plans. It's a bit too ballad-y for my taste.
