Last night I went to The Prom. Well, it was a fake Prom at a nightclub for people who are 21 and up, but it was still a prom. There was a cool band, and most everyone dressed up.
I noticed most people dressed up as close as possible to what they wore to their first prom. It was funny because you could scan the audience and get a feel for who graduated in the 70's, 80's or 90's.
I chose to go for a look similar to my original prom attire and wore a short black wig like how my hair looked in 1991. It was a lot of fun!
I got to see some old friends. I got to wear a fancy party dress. My dates were both beautiful and way more fun than my first prom date! And, as an added bonus, I even got to meet Seattle's own, Mr Joel McHale, who used to be on Almost Live back in the day! (How I miss that show) and who I think is one of the funniest people on television today. (IMHO: When Conan replaces Leno I think Joel would be perfect to replace Conan.)
How could it have possibly been any better?
The only thing missing was Jon, but he is playing shows in Japan right now and says they are going great, so I don't feel too sorry for him for missing out on prom.
