Where the odds are good, but the goods are odd.....

Every experience, even if it doesn't make sense at the time, eventually shows itself as a door to a much more important step in development.
I learned a long time ago that there is no such thing as true foreshadowing in life. That really messed with me for some time. I have always followed the rule "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" far too literally in my youth.
I would plot out every move ten steps ahead, and I had about 80% accuracy. I was convinced I had found the formula that unravelled the human condition. So certain I was so much smarter than my counterparts. It turns out that I was just young, and my "problems to be solved" were so basic, that which seemed like foreshadowing was only common sense, typical childish BS.
As an adult, I have been thrown wild cards, and now I know that I don't know anything. Oh, and that accuracy rating, more like 50/50 now, just like everyone else.
Common sense is still my friend, but my belief in foreshadowing went the way of the Easter Bunny and Kris Kringle.
At the end of the day, there is nothing I know with certainty, not even myself.
